That was a very high count. She was in the military, and she had only thirty-three lives to the best of her knowledge. She did detonate an explosive outside of a terrorist cell, so there was no way to be precise. So it wouldn't have mattered if he took a person, tortured them, killed them, then disposed of them, it wasn't like making them last longer was keeping him from being noticed. He simply what? Like their company, liked the fight, liked killing? Probably a combination of all three.
"Can I have that?" She asked him, pointing at Jacob's handkerchief that was poking out of his jeans pocket. It looked clean. She could wrap her wound better.

Shaun eyed her before he took the handkerchief. He balled it up and tossed it at her before making his way towards the door. He couldn't leave her alone...so what was he going to do?
"Fuck.." he mumbled. He hadn't thought this through.

Rosetta made a slit in the fabric so that it doubled in length, tying it around her center. When he moved toward the door, she finally got to her feet and leaned back against the wall. Was he going to leave her alone? How long did she have? When he stopped she internally groaned. She was hoping that would be the big fuck up on his part that got her out, but clearly he was thinking. She smiled, almost tempted to laugh.
"Didn't really think about that, did you?" She whispered.

Shaun smirked at her, a bit playfully.
"No, I really didn't." he chuckled. "I guess I can put you on the honor system. Think you can guard yourself, baby girl?"

Rosetta raised her eyebrows, thinking it ridiculous. He knew very well the second he walked out the door she was going to fly into action, but he was almost toying with the prospect of it. Something told her that not many people had fought him quite as hard as she had. Perhaps she could use that to her advantage.
"Scouts honor." She replied, but her body language screamed defiance.

Shaun smirked and he moved away from Jacob's body and stepped up to her. He wasn't armed, and he wasn't necessarily trying to be threatening, but he still kept his guard up.
"I wasn't born yesterday." he whispered.

When he stepped closer she gripped her knife. Armed, she had the upper hand. She stepped toward him, angling the blade in a threatening gesture. She could gut him. He would fight, but that would be okay. They were equally matched in strength.
"You can be as omniscient as God himself and I will still find a way to get the better of you." She whispered. Her voice was the one she put on when she fought men up close. Seductive, capturing. Like a train wreck a person couldn't look away from.

Shaun smirked at her and he nodded.
"You probably could." He whispered. He took her hand and let the point of the knife just sit right at his throat, cutting into the tissue just enough for a small bead of blood to fall. "I look forward to it."

She could have easily shoved the blade down his throat, and she wanted to end him right there. But the fact of the matter was, she was chained to a wall and there was no weak spot in that chain. She had no family, only one friend that knew she was on leave, no one that would be looking for her within the week for certain. If she killed him before she could free herself, she'd have to chop off her hands to get out. Unless he had the key on his body, but she doubted it. He was intelligent. It was probably across the room on the wall, for all she knew. She could try to play nice. Perhaps if she played his sick game, he'd give her some freedoms.
"Me too." She told him, taking her hand away.

Shaun was relieved and yet...disappointed. He smirked at her as she lowered the knife and he took a step back.
"Well...I'm gunna have to put you on the honor system regardless because...I really don't want a rotting corpse in here." He said frowning. "Besides...his family should find him."

Rosetta personally was used to the smell of death and decay, but she could admit she also didn't want to share space with it even if she was used to it. She didn't react when he said he was going to let Jacob's family find Jacob. Instead she stepped back, nodding.
"I guess I'll see you soon." She told him.

Shaun eyed her for a moment before he grabbed Jacob and opened the door and dragged him out. Once he was outside he looked the container before moving out towards the river and rolling him off into the water. He'd be found in a random location far from here all DNA washed off.
"Rest easy..." he whispered. It was the closest thing to an apology he would ever muster.

Rosetta waited a minute after the door shut. She pulled the chain and moved along the wall, getting her jacket. It was going to get cold, during the night. Jacob hadn't had anything on his body to use. If she took a tool from the wall, Shaun would notice immediately. She pulled her jacket over her shoulders, noting that her phone was gone, of course. She moved back to her position against the wall that the chain was connected to, running her fingers over the metal. Shaun was using embalming fluid in his jars. Embalming fluid contained methanol. Methanol was corrosive to metals over time. Over time being the biggest hang up there, plus Shaun would definitely notice if one of his jars were missing. Still, she had a few plans, and that never hurt.

Overall, she behaved while he was out with Jacob.

Shaun eventually returned to the container and he shut the door behind him. He moved over to his mattress before he stopped in front of Rosetta noticing the jacket over her shoulders. He sat down and got confortable. He usually spent his nights at the container, unable to sleep at home for some reason.
"Good night." He mumbled to Rosetta.

Rosetta expected nothing less when she saw the mattress. She had assumed it was for sleeping because he had no problem anally raping Jacob on the floor. She of course, wasn't going to sleep at all. She gave him the bird when he told her goodnight.

One month later...

Shaun had kept Rosetta for a month now. She was everything he could have hoped for but it was making it harder and harder for him to decide what he wanted to take from her. He had taken another victim within that time and they barely survived the night. Needless to say, he was growing more and more frustrated and torturing Rosetta wasn't enough. He'd have to decide soon.

That morning he made his way inside the container and eyed her for a moment before tossing her breakfast. A bagel with a surprise treat in the bag.

67 Re: The Nuthouse on Thu Nov 24, 2016 1:05 am

Rosetta always ate and drank when Shaun offered it. She wasn't stupid. She had survived the month and she still wasn't broken, as she had told him she wouldn't be, but part of surviving that month was keeping her strength up and that included eating and drinking, as well as push-ups and sit-ups, much to Shaun's amusement. When he tossed her the bag, she opened it. She had bruises and new cuts, thanks to Shaun. It did satisfy her immensely that he always had to fight her for it. He had to drug her and resort to pussy tactics when he wanted to put his hands on her. She was strong. She was going to make him work for her.

She took out the bagel, but it wasn't too appetizing, no cream cheese or anything. She saw the donut, no frosting just sugar, and went for that instead, chewing thoughtfully. She had been putting embalming fluid on her chain at night. She opted not to steal a jar, but rather than to dip into one at a time, never taking enough fluid for Shaun to notice the decrease. There were plenty of jars to choose from, after all.  She just had to hold out for a bit longer. And she had all the time in the world.

Shaun watched her eat the donut and he smirked slightly. He wasn't sure what she liked but he figured she'd go for it anyway. He didn't know why he cared. He blushed slightly and he looked away heading towards his collection.

Rosetta finished the donut as Shaun walked toward his collection. She sighed, her tail bone sore from sitting on the floor. She got up, used to turning her back to him now without fear, before sitting down on the mattress. She stretched her legs, looking up at him.
"Can you bring me some water?" She asked him.

Shaun glanced over at her and he nodded. He moved to the fridge and grabbed the water bottle and handed it to her. He felt so weird around her for the most part especially the last few days. Maybe he was beginning to lose his nerve, he could just drug her...get it over with quickly.

71 Re: The Nuthouse on Thu Nov 24, 2016 1:22 am

Rosetta took it, not caring if it was drugged anymore. The chain was already starting to weaken a bit, she didn't need that much longer. She had been beaten so many times in life that another week certainly wasn't going to kill her. She had a black tank top and black sweats on, her feet bare on the concrete. She sipped from the bottle before capping it and laying back on the mattress.
"You know what you need in here? A TV." She told him.

Shaun raised an eyebrow and he stepped closer, slapping the water bottle from her hands before he grabbed her wrists, putting his weight on top of her as he glared at her.
"Why when I have you to watch?"

Rosetta rolled her eyes when he slapped the bottle out of her hand. When he pinned her she moved her leg, ready to knee him at any second.
"Not for you. For me." She told him, looking up into his eyes. She was getting to him, getting under his skin. She knew she was. He didn't know what to do with her.

Shaun hated this. He let go of her only to backhand her, wanting to really hurt her. Why the fuck was she so frustrating? What made her so fucking special?

Rosetta took the blow, her hair moving across her cheek. She raised up off of the bed and moved to sink her teeth into his neck, biting down viciously.
